The Uber Eats application integrates Ticket Restaurant in Belgium

As of March 11, 2019, Belgian employees can pay for their Uber Eats orders using Ticket Restaurant. By including the largest supplier of digitalized meal vouchers among its payment options, Uber Eats offers its users even greater accessibility. For Edenred, this initiative is an additional means to make the daily lives easier for its users and its partner restaurants. In fact, it's a first in Belgium.

With more than 1.5 million users in Belgium, Edenred is the country's largest supplier of digitalized meal vouchers. Accordingly, we are very proud to see Uber Eats announce this exclusive partnership. It will allow even more users to easily order their meals using the application.

Attentive to users

The collaboration between Uber Eats and Edenred saw the light of day following a survey conducted by Uber Eats with its users. These users had pointed out that they sought greater choice in terms of payment options, such as Ticket Restaurant.

"Ease of use for our customers is our priority. Consequently, we look into the specific preferences of each country and how best to serve our customers. Meal vouchers are a highly popular means of payment. We are delighted to add Edenred to our payment methods. Many more people will now be able to order tasty meals, when and where they want," explains Kamilla Lambotte, Territory Manager of Uber Eats Belgium.

Innovating to make daily life easier

Olivier Bouquet, Managing Director of Edenred Benelux, offers some additional insight into this partnership: "For Edenred, the launch of this new service is naturally part of our commitment to making daily life easier for our users. This collaboration also shines a light on our innovative character.  It means that we are able to respond to the latest trends in today's society. Being able to pay using Ticket Restaurant when placing an order with Uber Eats' partner restaurants also allows employees to adopt a healthy, varied diet – quickly and conveniently."

This is by no means a first for the American company, as its solution has been available to French users since the end of 2018. With this new partnership, Uber Eats aims not only to meet the demands of today's users, but also to open the door to new users who seek ease and simplicity for their food deliveries.
