Technology is at the heart of 2015 Earth Day

For the fifth year consecutively, Edenred is organizing a day of action for employees to reduce its environmental impact in honor of International Earth Day.

Environment

The eco-friendly use of information technologies, also called Green IT, is the topic that Edenred places at the heart of its actions this year. All throughout their lifecycle, electronic devices and their use have an impact on the environment.

The actions taken for this day of mobilization will have the following two objectives:

  • reducing the environmental impact of information technologies (ICT) in the broad sense: shutting down our computer when leaving the office, streamlining the emails we send (size of attachments, etc.), sorting on storage servers, optimizing the recycling of devices, etc.
  • using new technologies to reduce the environmental impact of the company. For example, a mobile application for employee carpooling has been developed by the Group's head office.
