Edenred Uruguay claims second place in the 2016 Great Place to Work

Edenred Uruguay regularly figures well in the Great Place to Work survey and has again been recognized as a great place to work this year.

Well-being at work

58% of Edenred Uruguay's headcount are women,
42% are men
55% of Edenred Uruguay's employees belong to generation X and
40% to generation Y

The survey conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute rewards companies that offer the best working conditions to their employees. It is based on an in-depth survey of employees in 50 countries and some 6,000 organizations from every sector and of all sizes and structures.

Edenred has been part of the survey for 10 years. Its subsidiary in Uruguay has figured amongst the country’s companies offering the best work environment every year and reached the podium seven times.

“Offering a good work environment means that your employees are happy and committed a fact that means in turn that your company will achieve better results.” Pablo Yaffe, Human Resources Manager, Edenred Uruguay.
This is the reason why Edenred’s Human Resources department considers the establishment of sound relations, based on mutual respect between employees and management, to be crucially important.

This strategy bears fruit day after day. The sense of trust that has been forged between the teams at Edenred Uruguay has enabled the company to take up the challenges it faced in 2016, and in particular the shift to digital.

The Great Place to Work survey highlighted one new measure in particular. Edenred conducted a survey in its various departments, in which employees assessed the other departments and, wherever necessary, were able to introduce measures to improve their work environment.

Thanks to the team-building activities launched in 2016, employees were able to relax and improve a number of skills, such as teamwork, motivation and leadership in a fun environment.

Edenred’s ambition: to become a great place to work

Today, almost 87% of Edenred’s employees work in an environment engaged in the “Best Place to Work” approach. The Group encourages efforts to improve employee well-being in its subsidiaries with the aim of having them all engaged in a certification process by 2016.
