Edenred Romania signs the Romanian Diversity Charter

Edenred Romania has officially signed the Romanian Diversity Charter, strengthening and confirming the values the Group strongly supports: the principles of diversity, non-discrimination and equal opportunities within the company.

"I am glad we can officially confirm the things we believe in and put into practice every day – respect, trust, equal opportunities, and inclusiveness. Diversity is for us a source of creativity, innovation and performance." Declares Dana Sîntejudean, General Manager of Edenred Romania & Moldova.

Signing the Diversity Charter comes as a natural step that complements the social responsibility strategy and supports for Edenred Romania, the ambition to be one of the best employers in Romania. The Group is delighted to see that Dana Sîntejudean becomes one of the official ambassadors of the project, being a successful female model inspiring new generations.

Launched in April 2018, the Romanian Diversity Charter follows models from other European countries and is based on a set of general principles voluntarily assumed by signatories to promote diversity, non-discrimination, inclusion and equal opportunities at work. The Charter encourages signatories to implement or extend their commitment to diversity management beyond the rigor and legal obligations.

Working with people from different backgrounds and with different experiences, we make better decisions and build a culture based on mutual trust and respect. The Diversity Charter proposes some elementary engagements to guide us all on this beautiful journey for the whole Romanian community”, said Eduard Drăghici, Senior Internal Communications Employer Branding & CSR Partner of Edenred Romania & Moldova.

Romania is the 21st country in Europe with a charter of diversity, counting to date 99 signatories – companies, SMEs, NGOs, public institutions, employers' associations, business associations, academic institutions, representing more than 130,000 employees.

The project is an excellent collaborative platform to debate around diversity management, facilitating access to resources and best practices. In Europe, the Charter of Diversity brings together over 8,000 signatories from 24 Member States who have assumed the principles of the Charter at national level. More than 14 million employees already benefit from the voluntary commitment of signing public companies and institutions.
