Edenred users simply have to add their Ticket Restaurant card and/or their Benefits card to the Google Pay platform to make payments on their smartphones. Edenred has entered into an agreement with Google and MasterCard that will enable more than 200,000 card holders to use the service as soon as it is launched.
"Thanks to partners like Edenred, the possibilities to pay with Google Pay are constantly increasing, offering greater comfort to both users and merchants. Google Pay can be used to make payments in cash, with discount vouchers and with meal vouchers in stores, online or with certain applications." Petr Šmíd, Google’s Consumer Marketing Manager for Central and Eastern Europe
Four banking institutions in the Czech Republic use Google Pay, and Edenred is the first company outside the banking sector to do so, further confirming its position as a digital pioneer in the Czech market.
