C3 Card and RAKBANK win the award for best technological innovation in BtoC payment

Organized for the 19th consecutive year, the Seamless (payments, e-commerce, retail) event, held on April 15–16, 2018, in Dubai, brought together more than 300 exhibitors and 10,000 participants from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

For its second consecutive participation in this event, C3 Card, Edenred's subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates, and its partner RAKBANK, received the award for best technological innovation in B2C payment for their digital money transfer solution intended for migrant workers.

Since 2007, C3 Card has provided businesses, banks and foreign exchange establishments with a payroll card, which employees can use to withdraw money and make physical or online payments. Thanks to the C3 mobile app to which the cards are connected, workers without bank accounts get to benefit from access to new services such as real-time balance, transaction history or mobile phone recharge.

C3 Card and the National Bank of Ras Al-Khaimah (RAKBANK) joined forces in May 2017 to offer, via the C3 app, solutions for international transfers, salary advances and micro-credit, representing the first digital service of its kind in this country.
